Hi! I am Subrina Afrin. I am a Bangladeshi freelance translator. My journey as a translator began in 2012 when I started doing unpaid voluntary work for the sheer enjoyment of it. I translated articles on various subjects including history, science, economics, and other interesting facts to make them engaging for Bengali readers. Additionally, I translated literary essays, poems, and short stories simply because I enjoyed doing so. In 2021, I joined Translators Without Borders and have been an active member ever since. I've had the opportunity to translate for numerous non-profit organizations such as WHO, the American Red Cross, and Save the Children Australia, among others.
I joined ProZ Pro Bono as a volunteer translator in 2023 and became a proud Pro Bono Ambassador representing Bangladesh in November 2023.
