The people who helped us get going
The Pro Bono project first came about through the contributions of ProZ.com paying members, and has since then depended on the unstinting commitment of all our volunteer translators, who devote time, energy and love to the work we do for nonprofit clients around the world.
But we'd like also to thank the following, whose contribution to the project has been invaluable...
CrowdIn
From the beginning, Serhiy Dmytryshyn and his team at Crowdin have generously provided their cloud-based translation solution free of charge to the project, facilitating team translations and the collaborative spirit that is one of our hallmarks.
Tarjimly
Tarjimly is a nonprofit founded in 2017 in response to the Syrian refugee crisis and Muslim Ban, where hundreds of people in need of interpreters and stranded at airports across America were provided with rapid on-demand interpreting services. Tarjimly have been a huge help in finding clients for our project, and our partnership with the organzation is at the core of the pro bono mission.
MultiLingual magazine
MultiLingual magazine, under the inspiring leadership of Marjolein Groot Nibbelink has been extremely instrumental in helping us get our project out into the public space, featuring our news items and responding enthusiastically to our overtures.
Renato Beninatto
It was Renato who first put us in touch with MultiLingual, thus sparking a very positive chain of events. He's been a never-ending source of excellent advice, support and enthusiasm for the project.
