The Evergreen gallery is now open for viewing

Some time last year, we started offering ProZ Pro Bono volunteers who have worked on an Evergreen piece the option to send their translations through review with other volunteers, so that they can be featured openly on the PPB website. The thinking with this was to provide something beyond just practice, allow opportunities for the translator-reviewer interaction, and better showcase what our volunteers can do.

Well, the Evergreen gallery is now open for visits! The first round of reviewed translations are posted there. You will find the Evergreen gallery on the PPB website, under the "Volunteers" menu item, or at this direct link: https://www.prozprobono.world/evergreen-gallery. There is plenty of room to add more translations of the pieces already there, and plenty of room to add more pieces, so let's build out a strong showcase of what PPB volunteers are capable of.

Here's an added benefit to the program overall with this: a decent number of the new partners and potential new partners who have reached out have come across ProZ Pro Bono simply by doing a Google search. The website comes up very favorably in search results, so it is in our best interest to keep that trend going and provide as much of what we have to offer on the website that can serve to make it easier for those in need to find us. If you would like your Evergreen translation to be featured in the gallery, be sure to select that option in the form when you submit it; remember that how quickly it makes its way to the gallery will depend on finding a fellow volunteer to carry out the review, so be patient!
